SBB Asks: What Books Are You Currently Reading?

Over the next couple weeks, I'll be posting five blogs related to South Bend Beat.

I asked each guest the same five questions and will be posting their answers to each question, one blog at a time. Their answers will be listed in order of appearance. I'll also be adding my answers at the bottom.

The first question I asked each of them was - What books are you currently reading? I received answers from readers and non-readers alike. Hopefully there are a few suggestions for you to add to your Amazon Wish List.

The point of this series is to dive into the habits and rituals of local, successful personalities. Each and every guest on South Bend Beat was just that and they are all playing a role in this South Bend resurgence. It's a very Ferriss-ian project. Enjoy!

WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Behave: The Biology of Humans at our Best and Worst - Robert Sapolsky

The Day the Revolution Began - N.T. Wright

The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles - Steven Pressfield

The Complete Enneagram: 27 Paths to Greater Self Knowledge - Beatrice Chestnut

Love Does - Bob Goff

Braving the Wilderness - Brene Brown

"Honestly, I'm not a big book reader. Magazines, YES! I could read them all day, every day. But in preparation for Roofsit asking me to host this year, I'm reading books on how to perfect my interview skills."

"Does listening to a lot of podcasts count? Ha. I do that a lot more than read books to be honest!" Editors Note: Yes, it very much counts.

MaddAddam - Margaret Atwood

The Distance Between Us - Reyna Grande

"An autobiography of the famous British conductor Sir Thomas Beecham called A Mingled Chime."

Fair Shot: Rethinking Inequality and How We Earn - Chris Hughes

"The Power Ranger Shattered Grid comic series."

"First, ALWAYS paper. I don't think the experience of an electronic book on a tablet is the same as frantically flipping pages to see what happens next."

Outlander Series - Diana Gabaldon ("I'm on book 4 of 9.")

Braving the Wilderness - Brene Brown ("I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is a person and interacts with people, ever.")

Extreme Ownership: How US Navy Seals Lead & Win - Jocko Willink

Seinfeldia - Jennifer Armstrong
